Straight punch Performed usually from a parallel stance like hachiji or kiba dachi. This technique is usually used as a from of exercise. One arm in positioned above the hip (knuckles turned toward the floor) and the other arm extended as preparation. The arm above the hip is extended as the other is pulled back simultaneously. At the last second the striking hand is turned around (knuckles facing upwards) and locked on impact as the other arm returns to the opposite hip position.
