Last weekend we had our annual spring karate course in devon,
the club had a brilliant time.
the Friday evening after arvial was used for stretching off after the
long car journey down and give people the chance to meet up
and prepare themselves mentally for the hard work ahead of them.

The students and insgturctors met up at 7:30 in the morning to begin warming up,
running down and training on the beach and in the sea.
the training course consisted of 5 training sessions which overall came to around
fourteen hours of hard work, the students worked extremely hard and did
themselves proud with, Cejay, Jason, callumn and kodie all gaining
awards for the effort they put in.

Five blackbelts stood out on the course being; cejay bailey, Afiya Richards,
Mitchel Davis, Mark Caddy and James Murphy who all worked exceptionally hard.
Afiya worked extremely hard in all aspects of the course from running down to the
beach to practicing kata, to kumite and ippons on the grass in the warm weather
making her 17th year on the course and her best one yet.
The little ninjas also had a great time training on the beach and getting thrown
in the sea, they even got the chance to make a few sand castles as a little treat.

And a final well done to the three kick boxing ladies who took part and got
a better insight into martial arts and karate as a whole.
The weekend was a huge success with everyone who took part having
a great time and putting the effort in to make it a smooth and
enjoyable weekend.
